[Come]

Come, even though You're here
Free me, from the chains that bind
Break my heart, and mend me up again
Restore me, to the peace found in You
Comfort me, in this uncomfortable grace You bring
Open my eyes, take away the blindness to my blindness
Infuse me, with Yourself so no other can abide in me
Clear my mind, fill it only with Your truth
Heal me, bring rest to my soul
Rid me, of the fear that overwhelms me
Use me, to spread Your glory
Help me, to take another step
Lift up my head, when I focus on the foolishness of my sin
I want to see only You
I want to hear only You
I want to feel only You
I want You Jesus.

[SomeDays]

Some days it's just too much. Some days it feels like a bad dream. Every day I wish so hard I could wake up and have it all be gone. Some days I stand forgetting how to wash my hair. Sometimes it hits like a ton of bricks. Everyday I live with the reality. Some days it's a glance at a photo or the reacalling of a sweet memory that takes me back to a time that seems so far away. Some days I desire things so much I feel as if my skin is the only thing keeping me from going everywhere all at once. Some days I look at my phone 100 times... just incase. Everyday I am broken at the cross. Some days drag on, some fly by.
The moments that take my breath away come far too far apart, the tears come too often. But each day I start again, and there are no do-overs. Make every moment count. Don't say tomorrow when it's today. Do what you know you need to do, cause no one else can do it for you. Walk away, step out, fight back, step up, grow, change, progress in sanctification. Because some day, every day could be changed forever.

[Fly]

"Someone told me, love will save us.

But how can that be, look what love gave us."

Nose pressed against the window
I watch a world i once knew
And longing fills my heart
It still seems like where I belong
Where I was made to be
But as I look I see
they've changed

Faces so familiar
Yet people I barely now know
Then again I'm not the same either
But it's because of them
My fears came true
Yet somehow I still remember
and I miss
what I once knew
I can see it in my head
And feel it on my skin
I wonder where it went
What went so wrong
Deep inside I don't want to go back
But I want to start over
With the places I still love
New understanding gained
A perhaps wisdom learned

Somewhere inside I wish
I didn't even miss it
I didn't miss them
How much easier it would be
But I do
I do

"I'm not going to stand here and wait"
I'll hold onto the wings of the eagles.
Watch as we all fly away."

[Sketchwork]

He's the Master artist, with brush strokes purposeful and passionate He creates
The picture unfolds through the years, day upon day it moves on as He adds to it
But sometimes, we allow others to color our story.

Like children they scribble across the masterpiece
Without care they throw their marks across our page,
Without understanding they see their strokes as adding "interest" to the work
"Ruined!" some yell, and shame we now feel.

"Never the same" another cries. So we go on, what use is it.
The strokes now streak our page, dark and forceful against the sketch that was in progress

"Yes, it can never again be" we say. "I can never go back, it'll just never be the same."
But gently He whispers, I'm still working. Quietly He reminds, I AM the great RESTORER
Though the marks, now, stand out stark against His gentle work He asks us...
"Let me re-create the work I began.

But I'm going to need to take away these crayons that lie here.
I promise you, I can, and I will, make all things new. Watch Me. Trust Me. I AM at still at work"
He brushes away the dirt and grime that's covered His masterpiece
Yet He doesn't throw away the page, He doesn't start over or even begin to erase anything
He sets aside the crayons that sought to drown out the picture in progress

And picks up instruments of redemption to put into work
His heart was not to see these marks made, and He wishes no others to be laid down
Then He goes to work. Continuing His masterpiece with the same passion as before
"But these dark lines" we cry,

"It can never be the same...that was then, look what has been done"
With the same loving hand He sketches all the more. The story is still going.

I make all things new.
Taking those dark lines and bold marks and works them into His picture
As we watch with amazement the masterpiece again takes form.

The same picture that was started, begins to shine through once again.
Only now, the marks that had been left were being worked into that very picture.
He incorporated them in as if they had use in His grand design.
The marks still stand bold, but now a part of the great story, still unfolding
In fact those very marks are what draw others to take a closer look at the work
"They are much darker then the other strokes, yet still it seems, they are a part of the picture"
What happened here? What caused this picture to turn out so?" They ask
"Ah yes, those"......... and you pause....... you remember when those marks were made
And then you remember His gentle hand as He restored the work, and here it stands
You smile and say, let me tell you about those marks, let me tell you where I've been
But most importantly..... let me tell you were I'm going. I'm following the Master
Master Artist. Master Restorer. Of Souls.

[HeartStorm]

He left her there
With a pocket full of lies
And a handful
Of broken dreams
Abandoned and scared
The memories linger on
And the next came
With promises so true
They held on for a time
But faded on the wings of the last
She wiped her tears
And walked on
But history repeated itself
In ways never foreseen
She grew weary and tired
With each backward glance
The lies came to look so true
The dreams shattered all the more
She wondered about the irony of it all
She thought it couldn't last
Once more she opened up
For this time it came so suddenly
And felt so fresh to her soul
Her heart beat with new life
Fresh dreams sparked within her
She could hear the voices calling
Beating upon the door
Her desire to run flamed again
But this time she couldn't find the road
And even if she find the strength
Someone was following behind
Then times grew dark
And fear set in
There's no way it could happen again
For the first time the blow struck
The wound was at her core
And each time after
It burned within her all the more
Blow after blow was dealt
The force knocking her face down
Over and over she raised her head
And got up off the ground
But this time she groaned with the ache
That wracked her body through
For the one that dealt this latest blow
Was the one who knew how to bind her wounds
She cried out with force and furry
She screamed at the wind
If this was life's path for her
She couldn't handle the journey again
There had been one standing
Fighting by her side
Holding her up
Speaking the Truth
Leading the way
But now alone again
She lay down and thought
This would be her final blow
Please don't let this lie be true

[Jumbled]

laughter
memories
joys
tears
it's about the moments shared
yet
it all begins to fade
reality
sets back in
exhaustion
takes over
my mind spins round and round
i can't compete
and i don't really want to
but i'm so scared
my heart shakes in my chest
can you hear me watching
it's a constant weight
and burden i bear
every step
i press on
through the tears
i smile
i hang on
and sometimes am held up
i want to hit the pavement
it calls my name
but i know
i see
i believe
Oh God I believe
help my unbelief

[Rhythm]

i could hear
the beating
of your heart
there was
rythem
in the sound,
you asked
just what
it said,
it's
telling me
secrets
i whispered

[you]

Now I've had the time of my life
No I never felt this way before
Yes I swear it's the truth
And I owe it all to you
'Cause I've had the time of my life
And I've searched through every open door
'Til I found the truth
And I owe it all to you

More than you'll ever know
I can't get enough of...

....
......
.........

[Turn]

That's never stopped you before
The sound of my shoes on the pavement
Knowing i'm crouched behind the branches
I look behind me to find emptiness
I peak through the branches to a cavern of space
If i decide to move where do i go
Which way should i turn

[Window]

she sits and
stares
outside her window
the wind blows through the trees
the sun causes
the autumn colors
to glow
she can't really tell if it's
cold or warm
it doesn't really matter
she's curled up
with her
favorite blanket
and if she had her choice
this is where she'd stay
life
is too busy
work
is too rushed
relationships
are too hard
she's tired
of the games
hope
has become a whisper
a glimmer that flashes
and disappears
faith her only companion
she wonders
about the outcome
as a good friend said
she clings
to the one thing
that frees her
letting go
is not her thing
don't let go
she fights her own
thoughts
she fears permanence
if only
she knew
there must be
a reason
must
be
in a little while
she'll come back
to sit and stare
at the wind
through the window
her thoughts swirl
through her mind
as the wind
in the trees
she's wrapped
in her favorite blanket
and it's so quiet
there's nothing left
to do
the tide is high
she's holding on
for the
reason
she's wondering
about the outcome
she waits
and she sits
and stares
through the window
maybe she'll go outside today

[Simple]

one foot in front of the other
breathe in
breathe out
one of those days
have to
remember to
breathe in
breathe out
force the next step
i'm tired
from trying
to remember
just to
breathe in
breathe out
